Not sure where this post belongs

First a recap cause I don't post too often; mainly for those who forgot or are new.

I am 45, high breast and ovarian cancer risk, and caregiver of my husband who suffered a stroke at the age of 41. Been suffering with pelvic pain/pressure, urgentcy in urination, low backache, pain during sex (if we have any which we havent had regular sex since his stroke), difficulty with bowels movements (but more on the pressure side than pain, along with some constipation) and a few other things for the past few months.

I saw my regular MD; who I trust completely. He is also my husband doctor and understands my needs to be completely healthy.

On Monday I had an ultra sound; doc suspected to find some mass or other problem on this but it came up clean, suprise to him. He said there wasn't even one fibroid. No reason for my pain and pressure. He called me with the results on Thursday nite and actually wanted me to wait to see him for two weeks. I explained to him that I really didn't think that was a good idea being as this is interferring with my caregiving. So he schedualed me for an after hours appt (6 15) last nite.

I have finally got some answers from the doctor about what is wrong with me and he is sending me to see an OB/GYN on Wednesday next week. His diagnosis/suspect problem is Endometriosis or Interstitial Cystitis. I understand neither of these can be diagnosed with out laproscopic surgery. So I am expecting that to be coming at some point.

I have done some digging and understand about Endo and IC. But is it possible to go through my whole life normal and all of a sudden have Endo?? It seems to me those who have Endo have been suffering for years, where I have only been having pressure and discomfort for a few months.
