Post-Op CheckPoints

Imagine my surprise when I saw a note to go to HSis for a note on checkpoints.

I wanted to thank you. I kept thinking I was already into week three and now approaching week 4. You made me take a step back and realize it was week 2 I was finishing. And I know I needed that slap on the wrist, because many of the thngs you said to be careful not to do, I was doing. I'll behave as much as possible now. I thought I was behaving, but apparently I wasn't.

Hi Phidough,

I'm glad you are being helped by the checkpoints. I think many of us, if not most were not aware of the dangers of doing too much too soon and what is too much. You will save yourself a lot of pain and frustration and not prolong things if you let yourself heal.

I am 2 weeks too, and feeling much better. I have to remind myself of the no-nos. It's hard not to do some things, but I'll be able to do those soon enough. If I want something done, I ask someone to do it. It's hard to remember that I just had major surgery being that I am mostly pain free. Maybe I should put postit notes on everything I shouldn't be doing yet?!
