Breasts - HELP!
I had a TAH on 3/12. Before that my breasts would change. Around PMS, they would be very heavy.
Since the surgery, I have noticed that my breasts do nothing. They don't swell up or change at all. I am a little sad over this, ok, I am a lot sad. I miss the feelings in my breasts.
I wonder if this is "normal" Now that I am not PMSing, maybe they don't need to fill up or get tender or whatever they did. However, I don't know if this is a mental thing.
Please help! Is anyone else not feeling breast tenderness or soreness anymore?
thanks!
Barbara

Same here........I don't miss the soreness I would get, but I do miss that full, sensual kind of look and feel.

Breasts - HELP!
Kinnyb1, your profile doesn't say if you kept your ovaries. If not, that would explain the lack of monthly changes in your body, including your breasts. But if you've kept even one ovary, it may take a while, but your body should kick in once your ovary is functioning again. (Sometimes it takes a few weeks after surgery for them to kick in)
I still get the soreness--that's about the only way I can tell when I would have been having a period.

Breasts - HELP!
I for one am so glad to be rid of the soreness. I had TAH/BSO eight weeks ago and feel no swelling and have no tenderness. I was tender all the time and more so when PMSing.
I count this as one of the pluses of having my surgery. I don't jump everytime someone bumps my breast.

Breasts - HELP!
I agree with Dumby!
[Wow, that almost sounds bad to say-LOL ]
I would be having my period right now....and I don't miss ANY of the things associated with it!
Of course I am wearing a pantyliner/pad...at 4 weeks a little discharge from healing stitches....
and that is driving me crazy...as I never wore one before [I was a tampon girl].
But I knnow very soon I will be FREE from everything!

Breasts - HELP!
Thanks for all the responses.
I did have a TAH with both ovaries removed so I guess I will need to learn to live withouth the breast tenderness.
I really miss it. I agree with you girls about missing the sensual feeling of having bigger breasts sometimes. Now, they just hang there and I feel they are useless. As you said Lostitall, they are just like two eggs hanging on nails!
And the sad part is that there is nothing we can do to make it better.
Oh well, hang in there *no pun intended*

Breasts - HELP!
mine are the opposite of everyone else's ( I am not complaining), but they have been really full and perky since I came home from the castle. Maybe it is the Premarin 1.25, is anyone else taking estrogen? That is all I can attribute it to. I actually had to go buy a couple D cup bra's and I have been a size C for many, many years. . . . maybe it is just this crazy swelly belly creaping its way up. .

Bobbie - The fried eggs comment hit way to close to home for me!!! Never thought of it that way, but yep that is what they look like!!! I may never eat eggs again!
