Homeopathic Remedies

Has anyone tried homeopathic remedies post-op to help with healing etc.?

The lady at the health food store where I shop said that a lot of people use Arnica Montana to help with post-op swelling and bruising.

Has anyone tried this or other supplements that helped speed healing?

Homeopathic Remedies

Hi ((( okie farmwife )))

I 'd like to remind you to check with your dr both pre and post op before you take anything. You never know what might cause reactions or complications, including "natural" substances. It's best to be cautious and check first.

Best wishes.

Homeopathic Remedies

A friend of mine says she is sending me a book of homeopathic remedies for fibroids so that I can avoid surgery. I already don't believe any of it but I'll read the book anyway. There may be something in it that I find helpful. And, something may actually work. And, yes, I will check with my Doc. before I try anything unusual.

I have wondered lately if stress can contribute to fibroid growth/symptoms. I've noticed in the past couple of days that when my boss chews me out I begin to hemorrage worse with my period. When I calm down, it calms down. In fact, I'm sitting here cramping badly right now because she came to work in a foul mood.

Homeopathic Remedies

I haven't tried any homeopathic meds, but both my sisters took arnica before delivering their babies and before their hyst and they had no bruising. They both live in South Africa where it is routinely given to surgical patients to reduce the bruising. Having said that, I think my sister told me they no longer give it as a pill because of its side effects, but as a topical ointment it should be ok. I didn't take anything like that and the only bruises I had were from the ivs and where they took blood. Just thought I would let you know.

On a related subject, has anyone used acupuncture before or after their surgery?
