Has anyone else felt this way??

Ok, first let me say that I have posted on here before, but have had some new symptoms come up lately. First, let me say that next weekend I will be 25. I've had 8 surgeries for ovarian cysts and dr. said possibility of endo. Well, had my son, now 7 months old and while I was pregnant symptoms went away, which is why I think it may be endo, dr. said if it was it would get better while pregnant. Anyway, last 5 months or so have been having indesrcribable pains and this last month I have bled for about 3 1/2 weeks total out of the 4. That in itself is weird, b/c I'm usually not having period for 5 or 6 months, now all of a sudden I'm having bleeding all of the time. Second, my sex life is pretty much non existant. It hurts so bad, my dh and I usually just don't even try. If we do, it hurts so badly that I'm just so tense it makes it hurt even more. My dh wants me to ask dr. for a hysterectomy, and I'm leaning that way. I can't eat b/c when I do I get diarrhea, SEVERE pain that goes from my ribs all the way down to my groin area and around my back. Could this possibly be a symptom of the endo growing on colon or something?? Also, with this last bleeding spell, which has lasted for 7 days so far, with clots and bad bleeding. Went to the bathroom the other day to pee and sat down, thought I was peeing, but it was bloo just pouring out of me. What could be causing all of this junk?? I just want to be normal... I can't live like this until menapause, who knows how many years that will be. I don't want to keep having surgeries that fix things for a little while, but then get even worse than before.
I apologize for this being so long, but I'm just so frustrated with my health right now and would like some feedback from you all who may be going through the same type of things. Has anyone had these problems, and if so, what was your diagnosis and what was done to fix it?? Did it work??
Again so sorry for being so long and having so many questions!!!

Dear stephwats:

I don't have any personal experience with endo, but here are some articles that may be helpful for you: Endometriosis

I hope you are able to find some relief soon. I am sending huge cyberhugs

Has anyone else felt this way??

Hi stephwats

With my endo, I experienced diarrhea when I was menstruating. The rest of the month my bowels functioned normally. Intercourse, however, was painful all the time, especially deep thrusts.

I tried several options before my hyst. My situation is different than yours because we initially thought fibroids were causing my problems – I had tried BCP, Progesterone, Lupron and an endometrial ablation. I knew I might end up needing a hyst, but it was a last resort. Yes, it is frustrating when alternative treatments fail, but I don’t regret trying – not even a little. My hyst was an easy decision for me because it was the only one left. If something happened, or if my sex life was never the same again, etc., I could look back and say I tried other treatments and not regret coming to this decision.

A hysterectomy is a major surgery with its share of risks and complications. Many women are so distraught over their menstrual problems they feel a hyst is the only sure way to end them. Only thing is, the process of ending these problems via a hysterectomy can lead to a whole slew of other problems with their bladders, sexual function and the vast array of hormonal issues from sudden or premature menopause. (A visit to The Road Less Traveled Forum and the Sexual Dysfunction after Hysterectomy Forum can show how a hyst isn’t always an end to our health issues.)

We have many factors that influence the plan of our treatment. Your age doesn't discount your suffering by any means, but it can be a factor in a care plan. I know you’ve already been through many surgeries and are eager to feel better again and enjoy your family. Seeking a 2nd opinion with an endometriosis specialist might be a good idea for you. I hope your physicians are kind and compassionate as they work with you to get you feeling better. Please keep us posted.

Sending s,
Beth

Although I dont have eno some of symtoms sound the same as mine. Im 29 and have had fibroids for 12 years. Ive dealt with the bleading that seem like it would never end and the diarrhea. Three myomecyomies later I finally got on depo just to get some relief. Sex if out of the question. I try but i hurts to bad. I dont have any answeres for you but I wanted to let you know your not alone. Hang in there.

Sorry to hear about all you are going through I have been there right with you. I had firbroids that I had removed in 1992. I had some more removed in 1996 and now have them again. Talk with your doc and if you don't think he is being proactive enought go to another one. Make sure your iron does not get to low! I was bleeding 28 out of 30 days and ended up in the hospital for 3 day and on bed rest for 3 months before my doc would even do the first surgery. Take care of your self. You are not alone! I am going through many of the same things right now which is how I found this site.

Best of luck to you

Thanks!!

Thank you all so much for your advice. It helps so much to know that it's not all "in my head" and that other people know how I feel. Somehow it makes me stronger in my actions with my doc b/c I know how I'm feeling is not right and that they should do something about it. I go to doc tomorrow (first time in about 7 months b/c of no ins.) so there's no telling what they'll find in there!! I'll keep you all posted.

Thanks!

Thanks for your post. It's good to have some one to talk to. MY husband tries to understand but there is nothing like taking to another woman who is having some of the same issues. You really made me feel a lot better. Drop me a line some time and tell me how you are doing.
