i think i'm getting a cold

Hi,

I am less than a week a way from my surgery date. My husband is sick and I think he's passing it on to me. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to get rid of this thing before it gets too bad? I don't want to have my surgery date cancelled or changed.

You may want to go to the local pharmacy and ask because I hear there are a few products out there now that are really good for minimizing the risk as much as possible (or the symptoms if you already have a cold). And unlike a couple of months ago when they were all out of EVERYTHING, they should probably be in stock now.

Good luck! I was freakish about not getting a cold before my surgery. In fact, I was freakish about even going to the drugstore because, that's right, people with colds go there...

I am one week pre-op and like yourself last week I got a cold from my kids.

All I did was drink lots and lots of orange juice, rest alot, and I also took 1000mg of slow release Vitamin C per day.
Washed my hands continuously and hoped for the best.

Now the head part of the cold is gone and I only have a little cough and that's one week later. Try all of the above, you still have a week to go, and try not to worry.
