I am to have a LAVH on June 2nd and want to vacation July 8 th via airplane did anyone have any travel restrictions?

I have been working this issue on a different thread and have been given alot of really good advice by the sisters here on this site!
I am scheduled for a TAH/BSO and bladder repair next week and was scheduled for a business trip just 19 days later. (still trying to decide if i should go, many sisters have given me a lot to think about)

Many of the sisters have told me they are going 3-5 weeks post op as long as they are comfortable, but make sure you get up and walk around and listen to your body, dont over do it...make sure this is an easy vacation, not alot of walking and touring.


Make sure you talk with your Dr and make sure you listen to your body and take it easy, make the plans if you feel ready. if you and your Dr feel like you are ready, then go and have fun!!!!! just make sure to drink and get plenty of rest!!!

I did. I had surgery for a total hysterectomy on Sept 19, 2002 in Arizona, and spent Halloween in New Orleans. All the walking around in N.O. is what wore me out.
