Does anyone know of any success stories with DOXIL?

Hello~

After learning that my sister has had an almost immediate recurrence following her 18 month chemo regimen (6 months of Gemzar and carboplatin, 1 year of Taxol alone) for Stage IIC OvCa, she is now being given Doxil.

Does anyone have any success stories regarding remission from treatment with Doxil?

Blessings to all of you!

Doxil

Have a friend who did well with Doxil-[-got a year remission. Doxil is a good drug. CA125 may rise at first and then drop. I hope your sister is one who gets excellent results with the Doxil.

Heni,

I really wish I did some have some information for you. I had endometrial cancer and did not have radiation or chemo. Therefore, I cannot speak to your question/s.

However, I have been deeply touched by your posts and have followed them to see how it is going for your sister....and you.

My heart goes out to you and I know this must be such a trying time for you. These are the moments in ones life when you have to pull out all the stops and dig deep for the courage it takes to meet such huge challanges.

You sound like such a special soul....your sister is lucky to have you as I am sure you feel blessed to have such a wonderful sister/s.

I will keep you in my thoughts...and continue to moniter your posts for news of you both. Postive thoughts are sent your way.

Your Hystersister,

baylee6 aka Diane
