Bruised bladder

Had my hysterectomy 2/22. Its been a little over 2 months now. have had bladder spasms and now my bladder just feels alot of pressure from siting all day at work. Had a ct scan Wednesday, am told my bladder is bruised from surgery. It will eventually heal on its own or If I don't think I want to deal with it doctor told me he could do surgery. I really don't wnat to go thru surgery again., Anybody had anything like this and what worked for you? help me out here, I did buy a ring to sit on at local pharmacy, that helps a littl and bought some lidocaine and that helps some too. Let me know if anybody else had this problem and what helped for you.

Bruised bladder

Hi jellybean_lover,

I have had a lot of discomfort sitting. I'm doing a lot better now than at 2 months, but I still feel my bladder sometimes. I also used a donut to sit on for a long time. It would depend on the chair. I know I would have been very uncomfortable if I had been in a job that required me to sit most of the day.
I didn't ever have my dr tell me it was bruised, so I don't really know what has caused all of my pain. I'm wondering about the surgery option. Did your dr explain how he could help a bruised bladder by doing more surgery?
I have waited it out and it's getting better all the time. I don't think I would have opted for more surgery over what I've been through waiting.
I hope it is better soon. Maybe using the cushion will help.

's, Rita

Bruised bladder

Thanks Rita, Makes me feel better that I'm not alone in this? I too thought the answer to all my problems was a hysterectomy. Nobody tells you of all the possible side effects or things that can happen. I did ask the doctor what the surgery involved. He explained to me that a bruise is just a blood clot. He would just go in and scrape/cut it out. I don't want more surgery. he assured me it was nothing serious and yes it will heal on its own over time, but if I didn't think I could handle it he would do the surgery. How long has it been for you, that you are feeling better now?
