supplement questions

Hello ladies!
I had a LATVH on 2/7 this year and was on a couple different hrts since. Climara 1st, I got rashes from it, then I think it was called estertest to boost the libido thing. Worked then but haven't really been wanting to have sex again been to tired and achey! Then I was on estrogel for the past few weeks. Ended up having the vericose veins on my one leg in the back swelling and bruising also had burning on the arm from the gel. Yeast infection now too, not sure if it's from hrt. So now she's stopped me from them in fear of blood clots trying to form.
So now to my questions, I have been trying to take a daily vitamin "for women" and calcium. Problem is they are large pills and hard to swallow. Any others out there that are smaller, natural/plant based, that are easier to swallow? I find myself sometimes skipping them when I think I can't swallow them down without getting sick. I'm only 31 and I know how important it will be to have the calcium but can't stand the thought of buying another to try without asking others. I just keep throwing money away on different things to try! Also any of the other supplements anyone can think of for menopause since I do have HORRIBLE night sweats and apparently mood swings too, (hubby says) that would be easy to get down without getting sick on that too! I've noticed my appetite stinks recently too. Thanks for listening! Amy

supplement questions

Hi,

Viativ makes calcium chews for women to take that taste good. They taste like carmel. There may be others in the drug stores you can check for that are chewable and maybe better price as well.

You might ask your dr for a perscription for Effexor to help with hot flashes. It is not a hormone. It is an anti-depressant and is often given to women who cannot take hrt. The over the counter things that might work for you act like estrogen in the body and may not be good to take for possible blood clot problem. I would ask dr about taking anything over the counter.

I find it helps to dress cool and in layers, carry ice water with me, and sleep with a fan at night.

I hope you can find something to help you to cool off.
