The sensation is gone!

This is a little embarrassing but I'm too worried about it not to try to find out about it. I was worried if everything would work in the sex department after reading another post here so when hubby left to run to town (he refused to play around till I was well), I got out my little silver bullet and did a test run.
Well, everything works but there is no clitoral sensation. I can feel that it's being touched and was even able to reach orgasm but couldn't really feel that either.
Somebody, please tell me that this will come back if I give it time. I have a friend who had a hysterectomy in her early 20's who said that she lost sensation somewhere but was too timid to tell me exactly where she lost it. She says she has never gotten it back.
I can't imagine sex just being a tool to feel closeness with my husband but none of the fun. I can envision me putting him off because it would eventually become just a duty.
Anyone have any experience with this? I'm about to have a HUGE panic attack here!

The sensation is gone!

I had a heart attack too - the sensation was different and it was difficult at first to reach orgasm - and then, the orgasm wasnt exactly ummm earth moving :-) and sometimes downright painful. It does get better over time. My sensations are just starting to get back to normal - and my surgery was late Oct 2004.

It takes time - still lots of healing to do. Be patient.

Linda is correct. And...you are way too early in recovery. Relax and let yourself heal.

I agree, also. It is very early in your recovery, Kardani. Give yourself some time to heal. You don't need to be worrying and stressing over your situation right now. In time, you should recover sensation. Think positive, relax, be patient, and be encouraged. Your body is busy working at getting you back to where you used to be.

For me, it took some time also. I was tempted to worry and get all upset, but I read about it here at Hystersisters and knew I just needed to wait.

Lots of S!!!
