New plan of action--Vivelle Dot

Well--I went to my dr appt yesterday and my doc fears that the pain I'm having could be related to endo growing again, since my surgeon started me on mg Estradiol immediately after my hyst 6 months ago. (I had horrible endo and the beginnings of cerviCa) So she put me on the Vivelle Dot 1mg, with the intention of lowering and lowering. I realize that I probably need to just search about Vivelle, because I'm sure there are a lot of posts on here already, but just wanted to give an update. Any experience or advice about the patch would be helpful. I hope you all have a great day!

I was on the dot for a while, however, I did not do well with it, but your experiences might be different. The dot sticks really well, but it wasnt for me.........
Wishing you balanced hugs

Hi!

I've been on the 0.1 Vivelle Dot for about 2 months now and I love it.

Are you using any progesterone with your estrogen? Sometimes doctors will prescribe it along with estrogen because it can help counteract the effects estrogen has on endometriosis. It's something you might want to ask about next time you call your doctor or are in for a checkup.

Another for the dot ~ I love it also. I put it on the rear end because I have read posts here stating that the rear is one of the better places to apply it. Also don't forget to switch sides when applying a new one.

New plan of action--Vivelle Dot

I'm patched up with vivelle too and feel real good for the most part. I do notice the day before it needs to be changed I sense a little less wellness, but still real well feeling. I dislike the look of the thing, mine gets dirty and the patch adhesive marks all over my body are not too pretty. Goo gone and nail polish remover irritate my skin, cold cream and oil didn't work....Don't like the look of the thing reminding me of what I'm trying to forget, and the locker room stares from the pack of little girls I'm usually toting to the pool isn't great either. I just don't like that it isn't discreet, don't like my hubby seeing it, weird I know. Maybe Vivelle should make them look like those rub off tatoos! I like that it isn't a daily, messy thing besides the soiled, wrinkled look of it and it seems like it would be easier to travel with than the big can of estradiol gel I'm about to try. In any case I feel drastically better on some form of estrogen and without the uterine disease that led me to hysterectomy. Maybe it won't be perfect, but it is darn better than what I was dealing with. ...but darn that patch just looks like a nasty reminder to me, even though I'm amazed at how well I feel on it. Love Noom
