Hello all my fellow sisters,

Please can you tell me if I should be still having pink discharge at four weeks. My DH want's me to phone consultant but I don't want to bother him if this is normal.

Thanks for any advice.

Love Kim

Pink discharge

Pink is ok at 4 weeks. I also had this at 4 weeks. It was about the only time I had any discharge at all.It is your stitches healing.

Well, what my DR. told me was that the stitches have disolved and 'let loose' so the tissue is now 'holding it's own'. Any pressure/pulling on that newly bonded tissue will cause it to bleed a little bit. Mixed with your own 'jucies' it will be pink.

Just be very careful for the next few days-or week.Try NOT to do any straining at all. (Lifting, with Bm's, etc.)

Only worry if it turns bright red and would fill a pad in an hour...then get to the DR.

REST, REST,REST !

Pink discharge

Hi Margorie.

Discharge can be scarry or it was for me at least but the only time it was tinged red was the first week out. This far out you shouldn't be having a pink discharge unless you've broken or torn a stitch inside. JMHO but I hope all is well.

Pink discharge

I am also five weeks out and still have pink discharge. Every woman is different and my doctor said I could have it even up to 10 weeks out (yuck) If I do more during the day I get a little more and sometimes it's hours without any. Sometimes it just comes on without any reason. I think it is just normal healing. As long as it is not heavy or dark red then no need to worry. Of course ask your doctor if you are concerned.
