Birth control pills to control bleeding causing breast pain?

Hi, all! I am taking lo/ovral 0.3 mg for control of my monthlies and pain from my fibroids... The problem I am having is this... excuse my being graphic, but very tender, and achy breasts! The pain is on the left side, on the side, near my armpit. It does not go away all month long, and does get worse as I near my monthly cycle. All I know is I am two weeks past my cycle and ready to shove my breast into ice! Again, I am sorry to be so graphic, but I need your help.. I almost posted this on the hormone jungle board... I plan on calling my doc soon, as this is only getting worse:'( Last night I went to bed with a heat pad on it.....

Thank you all for listening! 30 more days!

Sore breasts

Taking birth control pills is like tricking your body into thinking it's pregnant. Some women get REALLY sore breasts when they are pregnant and some women don't. i guess you do!

Oh, Yes! I can identify with that! Except the Lo-Ovral stopped working for me, and I'm on regular Ovral (two a day) to stop the excessive bleeding until I go for surgery next week. I associate the pain with the obvious expansion of my breasts. Hopefully it will subside for you; if not, do ask the doctor.

Birth control pills to control bleeding causing breast pain?

Been there. Understand. Hang in there. I found the birth control pills were almost as bad if not worse than the condition they were suppose to control. I remember the breast tenderness. I also had morning sickness of all things. I haven't had that for nearly 18 years. Toward the end, the birth control pills didn't control the bleeding and still had all the disadvantages. Hope you have better luck. I was really looking forward to surgery. Again, Love and luck.

Birth control pills to control bleeding causing breast pain?

I was put on BC pills for 2 months. I took LOESTRIN (SP?) which has low estrogen. I have had sore achy breasts for 3 weeks out of 4 every month since I was a teen but when I was on LOESTRIN I didn't have any pain. It was wonderful! Maybe this would be an option.

I just want to thank you all so very much for your help... I am still in pain today but right now, it's not as bad... And about getting the feelings or being pregnant, this pain does remind me of after having my last son, and how I felt then.... I did call my doc.. got no response at all!

Again.. Thank you Rosepoem,Arctic, neeta, ksessions, and hav2ride! You are all s!

Nee Nee!!!!!

You little monkey!!!! Found you at last!! So sorry about the tender ta ta's! Boy can I relate! Mine stayed that way for years before my hyst. If my hubby even looked at them too hard they hurt! He felt it terribly unfair to have a couple of chubby toys and he could'nt even play with them. He is quite thrilled that since the surgery they're "up for grabs" if you'll pardon the expression How are you doing otherwise? Being a good little school girl? I know your "Big Day" is looming out there on the horizon. Are you hanging in? I just wanted to check on you and make sure all was well. E mail me any time or join the fun on the chat board we are over there under New New thread. Hugs to you darlin! Love Lass
