13 months later and prolapse feelings again

Help someone please..anyone else had this?

This sensation followed a week of coughing after a nasty virus. I feel as if I am sitting on an egg again and can push 'something' up. I feel a sensitive and sore band across the front abdomen and a low backache, like I felt at times after recovery hen I had done too much.

The doctor said there was no structural damage, and thinks I have strained myself. I am to have lots of rest lying down and she thinks it will go away. But she did examine me on my back.

Does this sound right to you? What could I have done?!!!

Hi,
I'm really sorry to hear you may be having problems again. My DR diagnosed my prolapse laying down, but she did have me strain and bear down while she was pushing things this way and that inside. If you don't feel you had an adequate exam, I'd find a second opinon. Or go back and really insist on a more thorough exam. I hope this really is just a strain and that you will be back on your game soon.

Thanks ashley...I have just replied and somehow have lost the mesage, so I will repeat this.

I have another appointment with the doctor in 10 days time, so if there is still a problem, I will ask for another exam. I don't blame the dr as my first very severe prolapse many years ago was very hard for them to diagnose. I think the offending organ disappears when I lie down!!!

If no joy, I will ask to go back to the consultant who did the op last year.

My examination was a week ago, but I feel no better. Surely a 'strain' or a 'swelling' should have settled by now??
