5 Days Post Op Question

I am 5 days post op and my Doctor keeps asking me if I have had a hot flash yet. I haven't and was just wondering if this is normal or not.

normal

I think it is perfectly normal to not have one yet, or to have one already. Each person is different in their responses.

My doc put a patch on me the day after surgery because he didn't want me to have any menopausal symptoms during my recovery.

I am not sure if there is any normal in menopause-just what each person experiences.

There are other organs that produce estrogen also. If you want to read all about it, then you can go up to Hystersister Quick Links, click on Hormone Articles and find lots of information.

Happy Recovery

5 Days Post Op Question

I'm 11 days post op and haven't have a flash or a night sweat either. Doctor asked about symptoms, when I saw him last week. Sadly I had nothing to report. I'm hoping I'll be one of the lucky princesses.

5 Days Post Op Question

I haven't had them either, but like our lovely hostess, my doctor put at patch on me after surgery. If you are not on some type of medication, CONGRATULATIONS.... You may be a very luck lady and not have to deal with it.

Have a great day!

5 Days Post Op Question

I had hot flashes in the castle, and the night sweats started around day 4 or 5. Seems to vary greatly for everyone. Maybe you'll be lucky and never be bothered! Happy healing!
