Please cross your fingers....

In a previous post I mentioned my hospital stay due to blood loss and "something" seen on my EKG that caused the cardiologist concern..

Well at 2:45 today I will be sitting with that said cardiologist to find out if my surgery scheduled for June 9th is a go....

The bleeding has finall stopped and my blood levels are slowly rising Hopefully I'll be able to stand without the feeling of passing out soooooonnnnnnn*punch*

Well wish me luck... almost pain free WEEEEEEEEEEEE

Good luck, Danni! I hope everything has leveled out and looks wonderful, so that you don't have to reschedule. Rescheduling is the pits! We'll be praying for you!

Hi Danni,

Good luck with your appointment. I send prayers out to you. I really hope everything goes well and you can have the surgery soon. It is so stressful just waiting for the surgery to take place. I can't even imagine how hard it is to deal with EKGs and cardiologists before they will give you the OK to have a Hysterectomy. ( I hope that doesn't sound insensitive. I promise you it isn't meant to be.)
Do you know what type of surgery once you are cleared? Let me know how things go.
I will be thinking of you today. I look forward to an update.

Danni,

I am so sorry about that. Waiting is hard enough just for the Hyst.

The brighter side of it is that the docs want the the best care for you. They want to be confident that you won't be in any harms way during the surgery or after. I know I respect them for that.

Keep up your spirits. My prayers are with you.
Big s to you.

Danni;

I thought this little story might help you to feel better.

My mother; who just had her knee replaced; during her preop was sent for the same tests... blood work, chest xray, ekg etc etc..

The ekg showed Mom had a heart attack in the last 3 to 6 months.

She was sent for a chemical stress test (due to her inability to walk due to needing two new knees).

She tested fine and her surgery went as schedualed.

Just because they saw something on the ekg doesn't mean it is horrible. I myself get sent to ekg all the time and get told "do you know you have a heart murmur" .... well duh I have a hereditary one... well they say "we need more tests" .... Everytime I have surgery I hear this.. I wish someone would mark my chart so I don't get told this anymore and they realize it is my natural rythm...

Just try to relax and consider this their way of making sure your 100% for surgery.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you, too.

Ces.
