Pre-OP Vent. My employer

My surgery is scheduled for 6/20 and I am very excited. Here's my issue, my employer just informed me that I will be getting the max from their disability plan which $170.00 a week. I just the is to rush you bakc to work. Can it get any worse.

My employer wouldn't let me use my vacation time for my surgery! What a joke! So I was out with no pay but it was nessessary for me to have the surgery at that time. I was able to return to work in 2 weeks because I had an LSH.

Sorry, I know your frustration!

You didn't mention what type of surgery you were having - if its a TVH you recovery should be quicker than a TAH. I had at TVH and returned to work two weeks later. I still can't lift anything heavy but everything else is back to normal. (Maybe you won't be off work as long as you originally thought).
