Endometrial Ablation

Glad you had minimal pain. Hope you get good results and you're in my thoughts.

I'm going for my 5th biopsy on Thursday and I'd never taken the pain medication beforehand because I went into the office not expecting he'd do it; or else he never told me to take anything. This time he did, so I will take some Motrin.

Did you have less pain with the actual biopsy pinch? I should be used to it by now, but that half-second pinch sure does smart!

I only have to have this done first before my D&C coming up because my doctor will see if he can do an ablation also and my insurance requires the biopsy beforehand.

diane- the pinch itself was minimal. i think the aleve took the edge off of that too. it was nothing like i thought it would be- that is for sure hope all goes well with you.

Endometrial Ablation

Had my biopsy today and what a difference it made by taking Motrin beforehand. This was my fifth endometrial biopsy...yes my fifth; and all the other times it was torture for that split second, but I didn't even realize my doctor did it until he said he was done!

I'm scheduled for a D&C next month and hopefully the NovaSure ablation procedure if the uterine cavity is pretty much perfect inside. Keeping my fingers crossed that he can do it; he says he won't know until he's in the process of the D&C.

I'll let you all know how I make out.

Endometrial Ablation

surgery went well. recovery took a little longer due to anesthetic dizzy: but overall was not as bad as i imagined. still a little sore and on little pain killers but just looking forward to have no discharge now. Is it usually about a week before that goes away? : lets just hope this works

I'm glad you tolerated the procedure well. ~ My discharge lasted a long time. It wasn't bad, but I do recall it being around a month or so before I stopped wearing a pantyliner. Everyone is different though.
Good luck, dear

Endometrial Ablation

Pantyliners are part of the norm for me. My periods last at least 7-8 days and I'm afraid I might start spotting any day so I make sure I have my Allways alldays on.

Scheduled for my D&C on July 13 and my ob/gyn will do the Novasure if possible. Keeping fingers crossed! I'll let you all know how I make out.
