Pain when urinating

Does anyone have this problem? When I get up in the morning, the first time I urinate after sleeping it starts out fine, but then about 2/3 of the way through I start to get pain and it really begins to hurts at the end. And then it hurts to stand up straight so I just go and lie down and it goes away. This doesn't happen with each time I pee, it seems like the first one each day is the worst. Occasionally it happens during the day, but never as strong and then its fine. Am I a freak of nature or is this something thats happened to others? Thanks and God bless each of you!!

I am going thru the same thing and have an appt with my dr to ask about it among many other things on Monday. I had my tah 5/20/04...two weeks later my left r ovary and appendix removed...one year later on 4/28/05 I finally had my left ovary taken due to cysts. I started getting this feeling right after my first surgery, but dr said it was normal because the uterus was sorta connected to my bladder and that was what I was feeling. But now I get this SHARP pain in my bladder during my first urination of the day. It gets pretty intense and sometimes makes me cry. I too am curious of what this could be.
