Had pre-op, no bowel prep!

Well, ladies, had my pre-op yesterday and all went well. The most exciting part is that I don't have a bowel prep!! I'm thrilled I don't even have to get my bloodwork done until the day before surgery. All in all, the visit was pretty mundane. Basically, I just signed my consent , made sure my MD knew that my DH has my medical power of attorney, and asked my questions. The only really cruddy part was finding out that the doc expects my surgery to take 4-5 hours. My poor DH having to wait that long. Just five more days. Let the count down begin.

NOT FAIR... I not only have bowel prep, but dousche and shower as well.......Check out Preppy Appt...

No bowel prep here...or any other "funky" stuff. Yeah!

I had my preop with my Dr. last week but not the one with the hospital yet and the Dr. told me no bowel prep either. I hope the hospital doesn't say I have to do one.

I had no bowel prep either just had to have a liquid diet for 2 days prior. Even told to do my own shave just a razor width where bikini incision was to occur.

I wasn't even told to do a liquid diet, but have decided on my own to drink some Smooth Move on Sunday and do liquids on Monday(surgery is Tuesday). My MD okayed this. Was told to absolutely not shave, however, b/c pre-op nurses would cancel my surgery! Good luck to everyone, and Ces., I'll be mentally holding your hand. My surgery is 1pm EDT.
