Post Op Partial Hysterectomy

Hello, I am curious if anyone has had this or similar experience. I have had my partial hysterectomy for over a year now. Have had no problems up until about 4-5 months ago. I still have my cervix, but overies, tubes and uterus gone. I have had a sudden problem with feeling as if there is something obstructing the path within while attempting intercourse. Nothing hurts, I feel fine, that is until I attempt intimacy. Haven't been able to have any activity for some months now. Should this be something to be concerned with? Or has anyone had this experience and how did you deal with it?

Yes, you should be concerned. The obstruction you are talking about may be a cystocele (where your bladder drops into the vagina) or a rectocele (where the rectum drops into the vagina). I would call your doctor for an appointment to get this checked out ASAP. It may be just a slight one (it's measured by degrees, I believe) and it can be diagnosed pretty easily.

There is also a post entitled, "What is prolapse?" in this message board. You may want to look at it to get exact definitions and some good links.
