Something is wrong with me.....
and I feel like....well...I'll SAY crud, but that is NOT what I am thinking!
I was 3 weeks post op on Tuesday. I have been getting better with the pain, decreasing the Loretab to 1/2 tab every 6 hours and 4 advil alternating every 6. I have saved my last 4 Loretabs for bedtimes and today have only done the advil. I did take 2 extra strength tylenol in between the advil 4 pm.
I may have the flu, I don't know. I don't have a fever, but who WOULD with all the fever reducers I am taking. I hurt all over, muscle and joints. My pub*c area hurts, especially when I void, but NOT burning like if you have cystitis. Last night this started and I couldn't sleep because of restless leg AND aching everywhere. I got up and after about an hour, the pain med kicked in and I was able to sleep on the couch. I woke up around 2 and had to pee so bad that it took me 10 minutes. Today has just gone downhill all day. My legs and back hurts and I am especially having a sharp pain where my stomach is, a bit left of the spot at the base of my sternum.
I know I won't be able to sleep tonight. Well, maybe with the BIG pain med. My in laws 50th anniversary reception is in 2 days and right now I don't even feel like going, much less telling others what to do. I just want to crawl in a whole and croak! I did try a soaking bath and it was only VERY temporary help, like only when I was in it!
I guess I will call the doctor in the morning and go in. I don't know what they will do, but this is driving me crazy. I am exhausted from 2 nights of little sleep but couldn't even nap today because of my symptoms.
Calgon! Take me away! or DROWN me or something!

I felt alot that way at 5 1/2 weeks! You poor thing. I didnt have a fever though. You should go to the ER or get into the Dr. right away. It could possibly be a UTI, or something. I hope you feel better.

Does a heating pad help at all? I'm sorry that you are feeling so lousy. I would go to the doctor and get it checked out. If you are running a fever, it might not show up due to the Advil and tylenol, like you said. Especailly if you think the pain is getting worse than if was before. I know before my surgery my heating pad was my best friend. Even now I use if when I get really sore, not as easy with the hot flashes and warmer weather, as I get too hot but it does work for me. Go see your doctor and I hope you start feeling better. If it is that bad maybe you should go to the ER.

I realize you're past normal business hours where you are, but try your doctor's answering service. They might be able to get him to call you back, or one of his associates. It very well could be that if you describe your symptoms, they can prescribe an antibiotic over the phone that can help you. If you have a 24-hour pharmacy nearby, wouldn't it be good to get started on something that might help BEFORE you try to sleep another miserable night?
Remember, a bladder infection won't feel the same as it did before. If your uterus was the big bully that mine was, your bladder is in a whole new place compared to where it had been. So it won't feel the same, either.
 Hope you feel better soon!

First, let me agree with everyone and say that you need to get checked out to see if there is an underlying problem.
Then, let me tell you that I felt like I was hit by a truck on Tues & Weds of this week. Every joint I had hurt like the ****ens (you know that's not how I REALLY wanted to describe it!) - especially my knees and shoulders. Finally, last evening I was at wits end and stood in a hot shower for 1/2 hour. Then I put a heating pad on my shoulders for another hour. When I went to bed, I took all the extra pillows off from behind my head - used just one for the whole night. Of course, I had another at my side to roll over on my side and lay on. I slept through the night and woke up feeling wonderful this morning.
I had tossed and turned for several nights and finally figured out that the extra pillows that were so necessary at the start of my recovery were now causing me pains - literally. Do you have extra pillows on your bed? I simple test might be to ditch a few of them. But also check with your doc, too!

I would go and get it checked out. I had the same achy feelings, with a lowgrade fever and horrible feelings in my vaginal area. I found out yesterday that I have a bad infection in the vaginal cuff. Today I am suffering and may be heading back to the hospital.
