Has anyone had strange pains in their arms, legs, and groin area after a TAH/BSO where staging for cancer was performed? My pathology report came back negative for cancer, thank God, and don't want to be a whiner (but I am), but I've had weird pangs in what I think are my lymph nodes under my arms and in my legs.
Nothing that I can't handle, but I was wondering if this is normal for those who have had staging. My surgery was about 5 hours and from the looks of the pathology report they took a bunch of samples for frozen sections. I don't see anything about removing lymph nodes, but I do see that they took some samples from my diaphram both left and right side. Any clues about what is going on?
They did a horizontal incision and told me that the pains that I feel on either side of the incision is from the retractor spreading the muscles, but this doesn't explain the arm, leg and groin thing.
I had staging too as the section they took from my left ovary showed borderline neoplasm. They took my omentem out, did alot of washings, took numerous samples all over (including diaphragm) and I dont' have the symptoms that you describe. So I don't know if it is related or not! I am sorry I am of no help, but just wanted to let you know maybe it is not from that. But everyone is so different it is so hard to tell.
Glad to hear you are cancer free, so am I! Wasn't that a relief to hear????!!!!
I hope you are feeling better real soon. Tiffany
