DR. is not helping! Please help

Hi everyone!

Its been almost 6 months since my hysterectomy and in the first 6 weeks I gained 25 lbs! I thought it would come right off, just thinking it was from the surgery. I have been to the Dr. he gave me some estrogene/test pill but I dont think thats the problem. I have also low/none labido, ache joints mostly my hips, and when I take the estro pills my heart flutters! It kinda scares me! I don't know what to do! I was hoping someone here could help me?
Oh yea I think I have adhesions because my stomach really hurts and it feels like something is stretching in there, but I had a vaginal hystorectomy!? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks sooooo much!

Hi

Sorry you are going thru so much! I would make an appt with your doc and let him know what issues you are still having. Sounds like you may need some tweaking of the hrt.

If it were me, I'd also find a compounding pharmacy, tell them your symptoms, and what you are taking right now, and see what they suggest also. They can be such a great source of info.

Good Luck! You will get some great info here!!

DR. is not helping! Please help

Just a quick suggestion...
But what about calling another doctor?
maybe someone who could help you and has more time than the original doctor seems to not have.

You need to find someone who will listen to you and help you find the best cocktail of hormones that will work for you and that will help you be the best oyu can be...

Good luck!

HI cyborwife

You said you are using estrogen/test pills. Is that Estratest?? What dose of estrogen/testosterone are you currently using?

It may be that you will do better switching to a different estrogen or changing your dose you currently use.

I had very achy joints that was helped by using progesterone cream. Some women will experience achy joints if their estrogen is low.

Here is a list of symptoms you may experience if you are low in a particular hormone. Too Much/Too Little

It may be helpful to check off any other symptoms you may be experiencing.
