My pathology report

Well, I got my path report from my punch from my gyn today

I'm getting really worried about the cone this week. Here is what the path says:

Endocervix cerettage: fragments of endocervical tissue with focal changes suggestive of endocervical glandular dysplasia. Scant endometrium

Cervix 3 oclock - squamous metplasia
cervix 6 oclock - high grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (CIN 2-3) with endocervical cleft involvement. Reactive atypia in endocervical cells
cervix 12 oclock acute and chronic inflammation with squamous metaplasia and reactive epithelial changes

I'm really worried about the glandular cell stuff since everything I'm reading says that that is worse.

Also what does scant endometrium mean?

Hi ((Marie))

I am sorry that I cannot comment on your path report but want to send you and wish you well re the upcoming cone. I am sure if someone got a path report with some of the terminology in your's they will provide what information they may have. Also, perhaps you can call your doctor's office and he or a nurse can explain the report/significance of it in layman terms. Please let us know how you are doing.

blessings, peggiesue

My pathology report

Doing a google search brought up various mentions of endocervical glandular dysplasia being a pre-cancerous state. So no need to worry too much.

Good luck.

My pathology report

Hi there,

Scant endometrium means the biopsy did not contain much endometrial tissue. That is all. Nothing more, just not a whole lot of endometrial tissue.

All in all the biopsy report didn't sound as scarey as I think you may be thinking it is. it will be good to discuss with your doc the results, I hope you will be happy. Judy
