5 weekers...how are you doing?? I think I turned the corner!

Love the new Website....Had to do a little searching to find my old haunts, ha, ha, ha. I will be 5 weeks tomorrow!!! Last week things finally started to get better. I walked 2 miles today! I feel strong. It is amazing to be without pain. The last year had been so rough, I am really begining to realize what a terriable effect that had on my body. I am really looking forward to putting this body back together. I am still having some problems with my burch bladder sling, but hope those will contiue to heal themselves. But I do have to say to future sisters, watch out for week 3 and 4, they seem to come back and remind that you are still healing. I hope other 5 weekers are doing well too.

Also feeling great, back at work fulltime this week! Occasional soreness in belly but usually due to having to "go".

I am doing WONDERFUL! Feel like I did before my surgery, not getting fatigued anymore, don't need mini naps during the day.....I am pain free! YEAH!! My only disappointment I got yesterday at my 5 weeks post op check up....Due to my vaginal cuff not healed yet (still bleeding) I have to go back in 2 weeks for another check up, and during that time still no sex or swimming! Thats my only bummer, so I guess I won't complain as I see so many other sisters still hurting and having some complications well past my 5 weeks post op........SO HUGS TO ALL YOU SISTERS STILL DEALING WITH SOME POST OP PROBLEMS!!!

I am feeling much better as well. I am having some inscision issues, but overall I feel SO much better than before surgery. I would do it again in a heartbeat. (I do still get worn down though, ready for bed at about 8 pm...LOL)

What a difference a month can make! When I was on the other side I could not imagine feeling this great only 5 weeks out. Man, I feel wonderful. I wish I would have done it earlier. No pain, no bleeding, no hot flashes either! I can tell at the end of the day if I've done too much. But other than that I cant complain, and I love the 20 pound weight loss also.

Gottahavefaith...in God!!

I'm not quite 5 weeks, but pretty close. Had my 4 week check up yestereday and was pronounced good to go! Dr. said I was a fast healer, and I feel great. I was told to reduce my weightlifting at the gym to half my normal weights for a month, but am otherwise ok to do whatever. I echo the remarks about weeks 3 to 4 - a week ago today I felt almost as lousy as week one. That lasted about a day and a half. Congrats to us all on our new lives!!
