Where do you buy black cohosh?

I'm beginning to experience hot/cold flashes. I hadn't had a period since 5/15th. I called my doctor and she doesn't want to start HRT. I'm scheduled for surgery on 12/6/05. She did say that if I didn't have a period within 3 months that I should come in. I've gained 5 pounds within the last 2 weeks. (She figures it's because my lining hasn't been expelled)

I figured I'd try something to help with the flashes. Besides black cohosh do you have other suggestions?

You can buy black cohosh in drug stores, Wal-mart, health food stores, and some grocery stores. I would check with dr before taking black cohosh as it is not recommended to take before surgery and you would need to ask dr how long you need to be off before your surgery.

GREAT products that work Ask your doctor about what you should and shouldn't take before you start taking anything, but I took mine up to a few weeks before surgery. I check into the castle on monday! I am really excited, but starting to get a little anxious!
