What is this lump?

Hello dear sisters. My TAH was on June 21. The day after surgery I noticed a bulge in my right lower side. The dr. said it was probably just a collection of blood. Well, the lump has not gone away. It is tender to the touch, and I really feel it when I bend over--like there is something there that does not belong. I finally had an ultrasound done on July 6, but did not yet get the results. I definately saw something on the screen. The technician said it was not a hernia, but something right above my bowels. She was not really allowed to tell me what she thought it was. Did any of you ladies experience anything like this?

I was really lumpy above my bikini incision the first two weeks after surgery. It was very noticeable. Kind of scary. But it went away and I read here that others had that too. Now I just have that dang ridge above the incision. The lumpiness might just resolve in a few days on its own and you've already got testing done to be safe. Make sure to follow up with your doc but it may just be the usual post-hyst lumpiness....
