13 Enter ye in at the strait gate; for wide is the gate, and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way; which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

(((Shirley))) Thank you for posting these verses. I know you pray about what you put up and post what you feel we need to see each week. I'm grateful for the reminder.
Reading these this morning I am thankful for the safety that is found in that narrow road. When we become distracted by the broad and winding path that can seem so attractive at the time, we put ourselves in danger of falling into sin and consequences that will take their toll on our lives. I know that God, in His infinite wisdom has given us this road to protect us and help us through life with as few hurts along the way as possible.
I pray for all of you that you will find the road He has laid for you.

I am just reading the verses today(17th) and they tie in with what the Pastor taught this morning. I know that I have not been on the straight and narrow recently. I love the Lord and want to walk in His way but I have been lazy in my prayer and study time. The Lord has been more than gracious to me in my recovery and my life in general. All I have to do is look around to see how blessed I am. Thank you for your reminders through the scriptures and I will try to remember to check in and see the fresh word from God that you post for the coming week.

You are so welcome. What a wonderful insight! Yes, the narrow road is the safest and I am glad God gave us the choice of choosing that road. Isn't it such a joy that He teaches us what to do and then tells us how we should do it?

Sometimes it is very hard to stay on the straight and narrow, that is when God gives us a gentle nudge in the right direction. You are welcome to come here and read as often as you like.
