Lupron after LSH

I had my LSH, right ovary and tube removed, kept left, but I am so scared the endo is still in there and will mulitply and come back. I had a lap. done in Jan. 2005 to diagnose me with endo after years of pain and suffering, and it showed that I had it everywhere, all on my uterus, tubes, ovaries, stomach lining, bowels..etc...they burned and removed what they could, oh, and there were also a lot of adhesions...and he suggest Lupron for 6 months....BE SURE you read up on the LUPRON before doing it. Maybe I shouldn't have, but a good friend who had that treatment told me about the horrible side affects and how bad it was...it scared me to death, so I opted NOT to do it, plus it was $1500 for 6 months treatment, which, may and may not get rid of the endo...but then I started having pain again..and decided on the hyst. and had it 6/29. The endo was on my ureter, bowel...everywhere and a lot worse since Jan. I'm only 32, recently had a birthday on the 8th, I'm glad I had the surgery but afraid of the endo. My NP suggested LUPRON again, just in case ANY was left after surgery..but Im scared...have any of you taken Lupron before? POSITIVE stories about it? I've only heard negative. Anyway, good luck to everyone. I pray our endo. and PAIN is gone..for good...it's like having cancer..but not as deadly, and NOBODY seems educated on the disease...and to understand it...doctors can only see it by doing surgery..not by ultrasound...and it seems DR have to go through a lot of procedures BEFORE insurance gives the green light for a lap. to be done..which equals years of suffering for us and methods that don't work...do any of you feel this way?

lupron

It isn't exactly the same circumstance as you-I had 6 lupron shots, one a month to shrink fibroids. My insurance paid for the shots except for a 9 $ copay. It was an attempt to avoid the hysterectomy. I had NO side effects. No hot flashes, no memory problems, no night sweats but it did stop my periods. It did shrink the fibroids a lot. Unfortunately, I did not start natural menopause in time and the fibroids grew back so I had the surgery a few years later.

I did go up and do a search by typing in lupron. Here is a link to some women that are taking lupron for different reasons, but they are talking about their side effects. taking lupron? If you do a search in articles or on the forums you might find more information.
