29 years old, Had TAH/BO 1 year ago Having sudden problems, anyone else?
Hello,
I have a ?? for you ladies out there? I had a TAH/Both O's removed last June 27, 2004. I have been on Progestrone, Estrogel and Wellbutrin XL for the past year. I started having lots of hot flashes and No Sex Drive so I went in about a month before my yearly checkup and she doubled my progestrone and estrogel changed my depression meds to Cymbalta and gave me something for anxiety she told me we would see how it was going and when I came in for my yearly checkup we would do a testtostrone shot. So when I went back it all seemed about the same, she gave me the shot and changed me to premarin instead of estrogel. Well its been about 2 weeks, I havent hardly slept at all like litrually maby 3 hours every 2 days, I have started bloating and having this heavyness in my chest, cant breathe at times. Like if I eat at all I have to yawn to breathe. Is this normal, I have never had a testostrone shot but I am sorta worried. I wanted to see what you guys think. I called my family DR and my OBGYN today and they were both out today. I dont think the heavyness in my chest could be my heart since Im only 29 but I have no clue. Please if you have any suggestions or have had simular problems let me know.
Thanks,
frogsqueen

Can only offer a little suggestion. Heaviness could be heart related even though you are only 29. I am now 40 but have been on BP meds for several years. I had heaviness in the chest, fatigue, and swelling in face, hands, ankles and elsewhere, couldn't breath and God forbid if I moved too fast!!! I ended up in a cardiologists office and am on my way to heart problems (family history and mom deceased at age 57 due to heart). My BP was running at 175/120 and higher. Since being on the meds (2 Kinds) and a cholesterol med, I felt much better. Perhaps you should monitor your BP as well and ask your doc about that. Just a little reminder, heart disease knows no age limits!! Good luck

Testie, Thanks for your intake. My mother is 56 and had a stroke 2 years ago from High blood pressure and we found out then that she has heart problems. Her mother has had multipul heart attacks and my dads mother had 8 heart attacks that I was with her for not counting the ones that I wasnt, so I guess it is possible. My family just thinks its all silly and none of them realize what a jolt this is to my body at such a young age. They think im Imagining this stuff now I think. Its been such a long year I feel my family deserves so much better that I just cant give right now. Thanks for your reply.

Ok, my dear, with your family history that is the first thing I would check with my doc. Let your family think it's silly if they must, but only you know your body and whats happening. There is so much out there that if you are having early symptoms, you can be helped. And if it turns out that you are not having HBP or other heart problems, well then you can rest easy and look for some other cause for your symptoms. Please take care, and let me know what you decided to do. All the best

frogsqueen, I have had similar reactions to meds. I had a testerone shot and I had several days of no sleep after each injection. I felt kinda wired for days until it ran out of my system. I also got agitated easier. Now witht the heaviness and breathing problems I got that with each anti depressant that I tried in the ssri class, paxil - prozac- zoloft and the testo shot. I would venture to say that more then likely its one of the new meds causing a reaction. Elimination will give you your answer. Hope all iis well.
