6 week spotting/cramping

I just had my 6 week check-up today and the dr said my I still had some parts that weren't quite healed and he wants me to come back in a week. The exam was very uncomfortable. Otherwise, it looks like my recovery is progressing nicely. Just now I went to the bathroom (it's six hours since my exam) and I had brown spotting all over my pantiliner and I am feeling crampy. I'm thinking this is normal and due to the poking/probing from my exam. But I haven't spotted since one/two weeks post-op. Just looking for validation that this is normal Thank you...

6 week spotting/cramping

Angie,
I had the same thing. Dr used silver nitrate too. Said I had granulation. I spotted for a couple of days. Definately call if it turns red. Cramping should go away soon too. Those exams hurt like ****

.....and now I'm spotting bright pink/red flow and cramping.

6 week spotting/cramping

Probably the poking and probing aggrevated the sensitive tissues that are still recovering. The brown blood is old blood so it does sound like it is from your exam. Probably the same as alot of women experiencing bleeding and crampy a couple of days once they resume sexual relations again. If it doesn't go away in a couple of days or you notice other symptoms I would give Dr. a call.

6 week spotting/cramping

Hi Ladies

Just an update..
Had my 6 wk appt on Wed, bleeding pink/red on Friday (after sex and Vagifem)..
Dr called today and left a message that the bleeding is likely due to the thinning of the vaginal walls post-op (w/o any estrogen replacement), so I'm supposed to continue on with the Vagifem (and the Vivelle dot, oops, which I've not yet started, might not)...
and no sex....for an additional 10 days!

But as an additional update.. I feel great! I've felt super for the past 3 days, full of energy, not major hot flashes, no headaches.. a little tired (still have some insomnia issues)..
Of course this only makes me want to postpone starting the Vivelle dot...
(I'm in favor of the Vagifem!)

Have a wonderful weekend ladies!

Shoozie
