This Is All So Overwhelming!
HELLO EVERYONE,
MY NAME IS NITA AND I JUST GOT OUT OF THE HOSPITAL LAST WEEK. MY SURGERY WAS MAR. 2ND. LOSTS OF COMPLICATIONS. I HAD A TOTAL HYSTERECTOMY AND A BLADER TACK. I'M GOING FOR MY 3RD WEEK POST OP AND I EXPECTED TO FEEL BETTER THAN I DO NOW. MAYBE I EXPECT TO MUCH TO SOON? EVEN THOUGH I AM SORE AND UNCOMFORTABLE I MANAGE TO GET TO THIS COMPUTER AND READ. I WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL OF YOU. EVEN THOUGH I WAS NOT SIGNED UP AND HAD A HARD TIME DOING THAT, I WAS ABLE TO BENEFIT FROM YOUR FORUMS. THE TEARS I'VE CRIED! THIS SITE HAS NOT ONLY BETTER PREPARED ME FOR THE SURGERY BUT THE POST OP AS WELL. MY DOCTOR DIDN'T DO THAT! ANYWAY, THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR TELLING WHAT YOU'VE BEEN THROUGH AND RECOMMENDATIONS ON HOW TO GET THROUGH IT! I WILL CONTINUE TO READ WHATS NEW. RIGHT NOW THE EMOTIONS ARE GREAT AND THE FINANCIAL WORRIES ARE STAGGERING! I REALLY NEED YOUR ENCOURAGEMENT.

This Is All So Overwhelming!
Hi, Nita! You've found the right place! Feel free to share any all questions, problems, joys, sorrows, etc....we've all been down and we've all been up! I can't imagine how I would have dealt with everything without this site...it continues to help me many times each day now that I am 16 days post op. Don't worry about feeling out of it....you (and I) are at the beginning of our road to recovery...we have come a long way, but we have a long way to go before we feel really good. Just try to rest, heal, and keeping reading and sharing!
We'll get there! {{{{{HUGS}}}}}}

This Is All So Overwhelming!
Hi Nita!
So in hopes that your visit goes well for you. I know it is such a difficult time with financial problems, many of us have been through it, or we are going through it, I just pray God continues to handle all things. He has made it possible for us to survive through this and I am ever so grateful.
Feel free to post anytime and let us know how you are feeling.
Many blessings to you,

Hello and welcome Nita. 3 weeks post is still real early in your recovery...not even 1/2 way there yet..but it DOES get better. Don't be discouraged. Listen to your body...REST as much as you can. In a few more weeks you'll be surprised at how you feel. Sending hugs and healing thoughts your way. Hang in there.

It Will Get Better!
Hi Nita!
There are better days in your future. Now is the time to heal, one day at a time. Concentrate on you and getting better, put off from your mind what you can! There will be a light at the end of the tunnel!
Warmest wishes for a speedy recovery,
Karen

THANKS.
THANK YOU ALL FOR SUCH A WARM AND INVITING WELCOME.
I AM TRUELY BLESSED. I KNOW THAT GOD HAS A PLAN FOR ME AND I SHOULD NOT QUESTION IT. ALL I CAN SAY IS...I'M HUMAN. I HAVE CONCERNS ABOUT MY FAMILY AND MY FUTURE. GOD HAS NEVER LET ME DOWN AND I KNOW HE WILL NOT LET ME OR MY FAMILY GO DOWN THE TUBES. HE HAS OPENED MY EYES TO MANY GOOD PEOPLE. SOME THAT UNTIL NOW, I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW. HE HAS BLESSED ME WITH A WONDERFUL HUSBAND, WHO BY THE WAY IS DOING EVERYTHING AROUND THE HOUSE WITHOUT COMPLAINING!! HE EVEN BUILT A WEDGE FOR OUR BED. HE PUT IT UNDER THE TOP MATTRESS SO IT'S KINDA LIKE A HOSPITAL BED. THEN HE PUT PART OF OUR CHILDREN'S SWING, YOU KNOW THE THINGS THAT HANG DOWN FROM A CHAIN WITH A GRIP LIKE A HANDLE ON THE END. YOU SEE THEM ALOT IN GYMS. WELL, HE FOUND THE SUPPORT BEAM ABOVE OUR BED AND SCREWED A BIG HOOK IN AND ATTACHED THE OTHER END OF THIS SWING LOOKING THING. ANYWAY, I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WOULD OF DONE WITHOUT IT. SURE IT LOOKS A BIT STRANGE IN THE BEDROOM BUT IT ALLOWS ME TO GET UP AT NIGHT ON MY OWN AND CHANGE MY POSITION IN BED IF I NEED TO. NOT MANY HUSBANDS WOULD BE SO WILLING TO HELP OUT. WHEN I GET BETTER I WANT TO DO SOMETHING REALLY NICE FOR HIM. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

That's a great idea. Wish I had thought about it so my DH could have hooked up something like that!

PAIGE
THANK YOU. HE HAD IT READY WHEN I CAME HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL. SAID HE DIDN'T WANT ME SLEEPING ON THE COUCH. HE WANTED TO BE THERE, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, IF I NEEDED ANYTHING. HE ALSO MADE SURE I HAD MY BODY PILLOW. I HADN'T USED THAT SINCE 1997 WHEN I HAD OUR LAST CHILD. I THINK HE MUST HAVE READ SOME OF YOU ALLS POSTINGS OR SOMETHING. I'M VERY THANKFUL FOR HIM. DON'T KNOW WHAT I WOULD OF DONE WITHOUT HIM!!
SO, HOW LONG HAS IT BEEN FOR YOU? POST OP I MEAN.

I'm 10 days post op and still need a little help getting out of the bed. I can do it...but it would be alot easier with a set up like you have or a nice moveable hospital bed!!
Hugs,
