Big pain at 2 weeks

I have been off my pain meds for a week and yesterday I came down w/ some severe pain, mostly on the right side. (I saved 3 pain pills just for this reason.) I did keep both ovaries. I'm having a little trouble sleeping, mostly from not being able to get comfortable. Impossible to twist around in bed. I took some pain meds yesterday and last night, switched to ibuprofen this morning, but still some pain. Other than that my recovery has been pretty uneventful. Just wondered if this was unusual. I have 2 week check up tomorrow, where I will ask for more pain meds to hoard. LOL. Thanks for any help.

Big pain at 2 weeks

I had some pain at 2 weeks too, I am still having some pain today but not enough to take the good pain pills! At my 2 week I asked for more lortab but at my 4 week he said no more! That is fine, I horded some too just in case. Each week will bring you a little more comfort. Last week I started wroking again and thought I would die...today I am pain free and doing okay. Still going slow and holding my belly though just incase! I know I will be tired tonight which is fine...makes sleep come easier since I have trouble sleeping too!

If you are really worried about your pain and it is is really unbearable then call the dr, and let him know too. My dr said some buring, pulling type pains are typical. Everyone is different though.

Good Luck

Big pain at 2 weeks

I had my hysterectomy on July 13th and I am also still experiencing some nasty pains every now and again. Being out of my pain meds now I'm afraid to call the dr. don't want him to think all I want is pain meds but the pain is sometimes horrific.
