Two weeks post op and wondering if this is normal....

Had my surgery done two weeks ago. This week I am assuming I would of had my little "visitor". (dates were screwed up prior to surgery due to my ectopic pregnancy/miscarriage) The doctor told me since I kept my ovaries I would still experience PMS. However, I have noticed I have had some pain shooting down where my uterus would of been. I am not sure if it's related to me healing from the surgery or because I would be on my period right about now. Whatever the reason....it's driving me nuts. I have also had some pain shooting in my vaginal area too. Has anyone else experienced these feelings?

I asked my Dr. about all of the little pains I was having at two weeks and he said they were all part of the healing and building of scar tissue. I would keep tabs on the pain and give your Dr. a call, thats why we pay them the big bucks! Happy Healing!

Two weeks post op and wondering if this is normal....

I had the same pains after my surgery. Once the initial pain wore off, I started noticing pain coming from deep inside (vaginal cuff????). I asked my doc about it at 3 weeks, and he said "you just had major surgery, there's bound to be little aches and pains".

Also remember, having an LAVH, they really have to move your bladder around to get the uterus/cervix out so things will feel strange "down there" for a while.

Thanks for the quick replies ladies. I started to think that possibly it is my bladder that is giving me pains. I have noticed I have been having a bit of leakage since my surgery. (not much though). If it gets any worse then I will contact my doctor. Thanks again!!
