Does getting a visit from Flo postpone your surgery?

As I sit here I just realized that my period is due the day of the operation...sometimes it comes early. Will they still proceed with it? I hope so...I can't stand this waiting!!

I cant speak from personal experience, but this question was asked in the last couple of weeks and there were quit a few sisters who had a visit from Aunt Flo and still had surgery.

Since many of us had a perpetual visit from Aunt Flo, the doctors are used to working around her. Mine came to visit the day before my surgery (technically a week early) I presuming b/c of stress.

My dreaded Aunt Flo was due to arrive 3 days before my surgery. Things went off without a hitch...Was wheeled into the O.R. with a pad between me legs!

She visited me the morning that my surgery was to be performed, and the nurse in the or assured me that they see this happen all the time, and that the surgery would go on as planned.
It did, and Auntie hasn't been back since (tehetehe)
