What more can a body take?

Hi ladies. I haven't been on much in the last several days ~ as a lot of you know I was having some problems with pain, being sick, migraines...

Come to find out, apparently when I had that infection the antibiotics didn't take care of it like we thought. Why he didn't realize this at my last appt. I don't know. He did say that my "normal" body temp is lower that most and so my fevers have actually been higher than they look. Have been running 99-100 which he says is more like 102-103. But to me there should be other symptoms to tip him off.
But he did say that does explain why I've been feeling so nasty and still in pain. I'm on another antibiotic now and hoping it will kick it this time.
My concern now is he says if this doesn't start to make me feel better in the next few days he wants to do an ultrasound to see if maybe there's an absess. Still not completely sure what that means (all he said was it was like a "pocket of puss")
What scares me is he's telling me if that is the case, he'll have to do another laporoscopic surgery to take care of it. I don't know how much more of this junk I can take! Now, not only do I STILL feel terrible but I'm scared to death!! I don't know if it's the lack of hormones or just being upset but even now just typing I'm crying AGAIN.
I think I just need some words of encouragement... I'm lacking in the positive attitude area right now.

My heart goes out to you Cassidy. You've been through so much already. Let's just hope that the new anti-biotic does it's job and worry about the abcess later (if and when it happens). Sometimes all we can do is just take it one thing at a time.

Take good care of yourself sweetie.

Hi Cassidy!

Glad to see you back! I had been wondering about you! Sorry to hear that you are still feeling so bad. It's been a tough month for you, hasn't it? I hope the new antibiotic will do the trick and get you back on track soon. Try not to be upset (even though it's so hard not to). Your body doesn't need the extra stress right now. Just try to relax, take care of yourself, and let the antibiotic do it's thing-don't worry about the "what-ifs" until you have to.

Sending happy thoughts and prayers your way...

Cassidy: it does sound like you have been through enough, but I also notice in your post that you DO have a positive attitude. This is just a minor bump in the road, if its a bump at all, Dont waste a good panic. Get the testing done and go from there.
I am here to wish you an end to your problems, and a resolution to the crappiness you have been feeling. Hugs to you.

I had a complication after my hyst. and had to have another surgery. That was a year ago, I thought I would never get better. I took it one day at a time and got better. I just takes time and positive thinking.

Hugs cassidy - it will take time - and patience and trying to think positive...

I KNOW what you are going thru - I just started an anti-b yesterday because of similar fevers... my lungs have some fluid in them he found out and I have a BIG bruise or something inside he could feel...

I also developed phlebitis yesterday which is an inflammation of the vein I had my IV in - 3 grape size bumps that are sore to touch... (not to mention my incision popped open a week ago)...

But like you - I am taking it ONE day at a time... and I am really glad to have the surgery done as it was really complex....

Just know that you are NOT alone - we will hang in there one day at a time... one hour if needed...

Hugs!

What more can a body take?

Thank you all for your positive replies! I know I'm probably just being a baby about all of this, which is just another thing I'm not used to. I'm usually the "rock" in my family and since this hyst it seems that all I do is whine and complain! Even DH mentioned this morning that he's not used to seeing me this way. Maybe it's hormones. Maybe it's just feeling bad. Maybe I'm just losing my mind! But I truly appreciate all of your words of encouragement... it really does help!

Please don't be so hard on yourself! NO ONE feels like themselves when they are sick, especially if you also have a fever. Now is the time to try and focus on getting better and taking care of YOU. If you are usually the "rock", I'm sure this will be a challenge for you. Talk to your DH about how you feel, let him know that you need his help now until you can feel better.

Try not to worry too far ahead. If you do have an abcess, it is better to find it fast and treat it so that you can feel better sooner. I am saying a prayer for you and your recovery. Know that your sisters are here for you.

An abcess can create all the misery you're going thru? That's just nuts! When's your next DR'S appt to see if the anti-b's are working? There's no reason any of you should be suffering in pain this far out..
Shauna, i've read you're other posts, and girl I feel for you! I've kept a bandaid over my incisions since the day I left the hospital..I have DH change them because I get queasy @ the thought of having a cut there and don't wanna pass out in the bathroom because I had to look @ it. I couldn't imagine the dang incision busting open. I'd of been alll over my DR like white on rice, that's just crazy! I almost passed out while reading you're post..man..someone would be in trouble if I were you!
Cass...my dearest friend...I wish I could come to Texas and take care of ya sister..it ***** just reading about the crap you're goin thru, there's no way I could live it. I'd be on the phone with my DR daily..
Hugz u guys and I really do wish you all would feel better soon!!
