Granulation Tissue Treatment question

Hi all,
I'm having a granulation tissue treatment in the doc's office on Monday. The doc's office is 1 1/2 hour drive from home. Will I need someone to go with me to drive home?
Thanks!

Granulation Tissue Treatment question

Hi scottishlass!

Some women feel crampy and uncomfortable after having silver nitrate used on granulation tissue. I know I did! If you have the option of having someone go with you who can drive you home, I think that would be a good idea, just in case you don't feel up to it. Chances are you'll be fine, but I think it's better to go prepared.

I hope all goes well for you! Let us know after how you feel, okay?

Thanks for the quick reply. I was afraid no one would see it until AFTER. I'll give a friend a ring.
I'll check in next week.
I feel "loved" already ) Thanks!

Granulation Tissue Treatment question

From my perspective, I've found the treatments totally painless. I leave the DR's office and go straight to work. There is an icky discharge afterwards for a few days, which is my only complaint. Other than the complaint that I still have granualation.

Thanks Ashley. Did you have more than one treatment? I read that it sometimes takes a few.

I had 2 treatments, and although I felt a liitle crampy afterwards, you should proably take someone along, just in case.

Granulation Tissue Treatment question

I had my treatments and drove right back to work. A little crampy but not nearly as crampy as times gone by! The last time I knew i was going to have one and took motrin before I went and it really seemed to help.

Yes, I've had several. Had another exam this week, and still have granulation around the area with mesh. It's slowly getting better though.

Thanks all! You're the best.
Looks like I won't expect this to be the only treatment either (since so many of you had more than one) and will see it as a gift and be thrilled if it is )
Thanks for all of your help and advice. Good luck to each of you in your quest to be granulation tissue free as well.

Granulation Tissue Treatment question

Be sure that you check with your doctor about resumption of normal sexual activities. I realized I hadn't asked after my dr had left the room, so I had to find him again to ask--and it's a good thing I did, because I was surprised at the answer--a week!
