Any 10 weekers out there?
Hi All!
I haven't been on in awhile - busy with summer - I had a TAH on May 18 - feeling well but my abs are still not what I had hoped - I had a 25 LB. tumor removed!!! Everything is benign and I am fine - but I it is slow going even though I have started light workouts and am swimming. At times too, I am still a bit sore. How is everyone else feeling? Also, still no desire to have sex - my poor husband! He is soooo patient with me.
I hope everyone is doing well!!
Cheers!

Any 10 weekers out there?
My surgery was May 17th and I am feeling pretty much back to normal. An occaisional twinge now and again, nothing too hard to handle. HRT seems to be working out ok. I just got back from a 10 day camping trip, did me a world of good and days actually went by that I didnt think about the surgery or recovery. Back to work tomorrow unfortunatly, but I cant avoid the real world forever. Good luck with your continued recovery.

Any 10 weekers out there?
I had my LAVH on May 16th. It was a long haul, but fianally I am starting to feel more normal. Still trying to balance hormones. I returned to work on June 27th full time. I still find that I am tired by the end of the day, but at least the constant pain is gone!
My company had a fun day yesterday- we went to a waterpark. It was a lot of fun and the really first time I can say that I didn't think about my hysterectomy. even the owner of the company asked me how I was feeling. made me feel like they really do care.
Here's to a bright future!

Any 10 weekers out there?
Yup, I'm feeling good too. My hyst was on May 17th, went back to work on July 29th. No complications other than feeling rather tired - which I still do feel 'wiped-out' sometimes. Little twinges pop up once-in-a-while, but nothing major.
*Hugs to all my sisters*

Any 10 weekers out there?
Hi, I had my TAH/BSO on May 20 and I am doing well too. Went back to work 2 weeks ago. Doing fine at work except am tired espcecially by the end of the week, but I that is because I still have insomnia something major! If only I could get a nights sleep I think I would feel fabulous!
I push trimmed for 2 hours and lifted a bunch of heavy garbage bags and think I popped my hernia back out a bit, yikes. Not too pain ful yet.
Hot flashes and night sweats are driving me a bit nuts, but so much better than the pain!!!!!!!!! No HRT due to the endo.
I am running up to 2 miles now, my goal is to run a 10K in Oct, (6.1 miles). Need to start a good abdominal program something awful, but no swelly belly, just fat belly!
Well glad to hear you are all doing great. My only wish is that I would never have had to return to work even though I work at a good place. I SO enjoyed my recovery time!

Any 10 weekers out there?
Surgery was May 25th. I'm finally doing better. Switched HRT and hot flashes ar edown to a minimum and I am within the last week starting to get 6-7 hours of sleep a night. Mood swings and loss of memory are still a major problem, but hubby says I'm getting back to my control freak self ! We're planning a vacation 10 hour drive to see the ocean and DH and I are going to do a bikers for babies ride this weekend. I've only done short trips on the bike since surgery, so I'm hoping I'm up to the long trip. Hope everyone else is doing well also. Its nice to see that there are still 10 weekers out there!!

Any 10 weekers out there?
Hi Ladies, my TAH was on May 25th also, kept ovaries. Been back to work now for 5 weeks and have no pain at all. Still get the constipation thing, and I think I may need to call Dr, sooner than my December appt., because there seems to be an increase of blood in my urine, which scares me a little, due to the fact that my bladder was severely adhered to my uterus. No bloating, no pain urinating, no fever, I don't think its an infection. Going to call my primary and ask for a urine culture just to be sure. Maybe Im just not drinking enough, grrrrrrrrrrr. Cathy

Any 10 weekers out there?
Hi Sisters,
I am now 10 weeks post-op today. I cannot believe how fast the time has flown by. I am feeling pretty great for the most part. I still have a tender belly midway between my incision and belly button and late in the day is more tender, sometimes even painful if I do too much. But it is surfacy so I wonder if a nerve was hit in the surgery process or something.
I have switched from Vivelle 0.05 to Premarin .625 due to the patch irritating my skin and so far so good. I do realize when I am late taking my hormones. It is like if I am 10 minutes late with taking it, my body starts to laugh at me and I am flashin all over the place.
I do have to say it is great having no periods and no more painful cramps to worry about and not have to roam the pad isle at the grocery store. Plus without my ovaries, I no longer have the overwhelming urge to double over and cry for several days every month. YIPPEE!!!
Take Care Sisters!
 s
Kristi
