3 weeks post op and crampy

hello,
first of all, this is a great site. i had a full abdominal hysterectomy and have ovaries, but i feel as if i'm going to get my period. very crampy in the lower back, belly, legs and have that awful headache like i did for 9 months with the fibroid tumors. is this normal or what? i don't know if the cramping is from not going to the bathroom properly and the headache is from allergies, or if everything is connected. but it sure does feel all too familiar.

can anyone relate to this. it was joyous to not have a headache for 2 weeks, but, alas, it's back along with everything else, PLUS healing from surgery.
thanks for your help

3 weeks post op and crampy

Hi Sandi,

I had my LAVH on 7/08/05, the only thing I kept was my ovaries.

I felt great 1 week post op and now I have the headache that will not leave, tried aleve, motrin and today I have taken advil for it. I don't have any of the aching or pain that you describe but I sure have the headache and it is driving me NUTS! I cannot get rid of it.

Also, are you sleeping at night? I cannot sleep and when I do finally fall asleep usually around 2 a.m., I wake up every hour and start all over.

I posted a thread a couple of days ago and someone told me to try Tylenol PM so I did last night, it did help me fall asleep sooner, but I still woke up at least 5 times thru the night.

I am just frustrated.

Hang in there, I am sure that "this too shall pass".

I also love this website, I don't know what I would do without it.
I find myself on here all the time.

Toni
