Spotting - 6 months out

I had an LAVH in Feb of this year. I had a total Hyst - Ovaries, Cervix - everything. I had trouble with grandulation on my vaginal cuff. I had several treatments with silver nitrate and at about 10 weeks post op the Dr. said all was fine and he cut me lose. About 2 months later I began having occasional spotting - not even enought to show in my underware - just when I wipe - but it is bright red. It comes and it goes - there is no logical reason for it. It doesn't always come after intercourse - though sometimes it does. It happens about once a week at this point.

Do I need to go back to the Dr.? Is it just more grandulation? Can I continue to ignore it and it will just go away?

I have seen way too many Doctors this year. I'd really rather not go back. I was diagnosed with Lupus this summer and my poor 8 year old DD has spent most of her summer vacation in various Dr. offices with me. If this will just go away, I'm willing to put up with it.

Thanks for the advise - even though I'm afraid it won't be what I want to hear - it probably is what I need to hear.

Janet,

It may be granulation that is causing your bleeding, but only by seeing your doctor can you find out for sure. I don't think ignoring it is a good idea. I know you don't want to go see the doctor, I don't either, but sometimes, we just have to. Please give your doctor a call and let us know what you find out.

Sending you big s!

Deb
