6 Week Check Up Report, Whew!

Hi Ladies!

Today was my first internal exam since my surgery. I found it slightly uncomfortable but then I have always had problems relaxing my muscles during the internal exam Anyway, MD says things look great. He swabbed the vaginal cuff with a bit of silver nitrate to aid the healing process and will see me again in 3 weeks. I was released to return to work next week and may resume sexual relations this weekend. Overall, I feel very good. I know that I could not have made it this far without the marvelous support and information on this board.

The hostesses are awesome. Thank you to all of you sisters!

Aiken

Not healing after 6 weeks.

I recently had my 6 week checkup. I was told I was not healing as expected and noticed a considerable amount of blood under the scar which has not obsorbed back to the body. I was told to take 2 to 3 20 min. baths a day and if that did not help we would use the nitrate. I still feel uncomfortable walking or sleeping on my side. My scar is very sensitive and alot of swelly belly. Has any one else experienced this?
