Is this normal?! Extreme Fatigue... 3 1/2 months Post Op

I swear I felt better a few weeks after my hysterectomy (total + 1 ovary)... but then again, I wasn't working full 8 hour days at the time. I don't feel too bad during the day, and I can even manage to stay up until 10:30 or so at night, but MAN o MAN! I have the hardest time waking up in the morning (6:30 AM). I feel almost drugged that I can't wake up. I don't push myself during the day (I have a desk job) and go straight home after work and not do much there either (I know, not good). Will exercise help? Vitamins? Some uppers??? Just kidding! ;o) Thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi. I had my TAH/BSO 2 days before yours and went back to work at the 12 week mark working desk duty for only 5 hours. I found that I am very tired between the 4 and 5 hour mark. My doctor said it is just taking awhile to heal and that my body is used to laying around and is now interacting with people, doing mental tasks and walking more. I take around 11 different vitamins and suppliments daily, walk/run 3 miles a day, do light arm weights twice a week and lost 13 pounds at surgery which makes me a size 8 now. I was surprised about how tired I was just working 5 hours because I was starting to feel better and had 3 months to rest up. Years ago I was diagnosed with fibromayagia which is like chronic fatigue syndrome so you may be experiencing some of that also. Menopause also causes some fatigue especially if you aren't sleeping soundly because of night sweats or insomnia. You might ask for suggestions from your doctor.
