thank you for all the info

I found this site last nite and have been reading it for about 6 hrs now. Thanks for all the info , I hope to find it very helpful come tues when I should find out what all the dr plans on doing.

I am pretty sure they will do a vertical cut and remove almost everything.

With all the info you women have offered there was one thing I didnt see mentioned. This might seem like a silly question but did any of you have a waterbed to be getting in and out of all the time?(not a soft sided one either) I have no one to help me and the thought of sleeping on the couch is a nitemare in itself. I am going to check on renting a hosp bed for the first 2 weeks possibly. But I would like feed back on the waterbed before I do this.
Thanks much

Hi Peggy

There have been posts in preop on waterbeds. You can do a search (the icon is on top of board). They should give you some ideas. I have a waterbed. I came home with staples (verticle incision from pubic area to up and around my belly button) so that made sleeping difficult. I have regular beds in my guest rooms so I slept in one of them. I could not lay on my side at first either so I would get up in the middle of the night and go sleep in my recliner (I napped in it too). After my staples were removed I was able to get in and out of my water bed. It felt so good. Hope your Dr. appointment goes well.
