Can this be hormone related or lack of?

I've been back at work for 4 weeks. I'm still recovering from the apendectomy in March, hyst in May and hemorhoidectomy in June. I get tired every evening (30 mile drive one way). Sleepy by 7pm but stay up til 9-9:30. I'm up at 4:30-4:45am. For the last month I've only had ocassional night sweats (2-4 nights a week). I sleep with ceiling fan on every night. I've started getting headaches in the evening 3-4 times a week. I'm starting to get cranky with DH & DD's. Which I've apologized for.

Any and all suggestions will be appreciated.

Hi sholow!

My goodness you have been through a lot lately! I'm sorry you are having those symptoms.

Your symptoms could be due to fluctuations in your hormones. You still have an ovary and maybe it's not quite working to capacity now. Your doctor could do a simple FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone) test to determine how well that remaining ovary is working. Then you and your doctor can decide what to do--hormone therapy, non-hormone supplements, or do nothing and see if the symptoms ease over time.

There's a list of symptoms common for too much/too little estrogen, progesterone and testosterone which can be helpful to decide which hormone you may be lacking. It's helpful to print the list and then check off the symptoms being experiences. Let your doctor know if you want help managing your symptoms.
