Ovarian Cysts

i have just ended my last period ever (YEAH!) i am having some lower abdominal pain---i have had this before and it can last a week or 2. i think i get cysts on my ovaries---mostly the left one. my doc is leaving my ovaries, so i realize this problem won't go away---but i can always hope!! has anyone else dealt with ovarian cysts after a hyst? are they as painful as they were before your hyst. i really want to keep my ovaries---in fact i haven't even discussed this pain with my doctor----i already ride an emotional roller coaster, so having to take hormones is something i don't want to deal with. if they take one ovary will the other work well enough on it's own to regulate your hormones? did this post make any sence?

I had a couple of small cysts show up on my ultrasound before my hysterectomy and they were very small and my doctor felt these were just the normal follicular cysts that I would get each month after ovulation. Basically, they would come and go and should cause me no problems.

I had cysts on my ovaries off an on for yeaars. I think for most women it's just a natural thing. I had some that were bothersome,they usely brust around thet time of month. I'm sure a sister on her will be able to help you better with this one.
