Prometrium 200 mg

i began taking 200 mg per night a few weeks ago. after the first 3 doses made me VERY moody. it did keep me from having extreme food cravings though. i didn't have much of an appetite. my dr. told me it sometimes help with weight control, i suppose by curbing cravings.

but the moodiness, oh my gosh! i began taking it every other night, along with my estratest HS. that has been better, and also helped me sleep.

so, taking it every other day works better for me for both the prometrium 200 mgs and also estratest hs. estratest every day is too much. i've also had a problem with weight gain (about 15 pounds since surgery in nov).

Has anyone out there had a problem with moodiness, or received the benefit of hunger control from Prometrium?

Prometrium 200 mg

Why dont you ask your MD for a script of Prometrium 100 mg so you can take it every day if the 200 is too much? Maybe it'll help the moodiness. I take the 100 mg and haven't been really moody. Depressed is more like it, but I think its because I need more estrogen. I just had my levels tested yesterday. We'll see. I also haven't seen my hunger curbed because of the Prometrium. As far as the weight gain, I don't know what to tell you. Good luck though. XO
