Sleep!!!!

I haven't been able to sleep since about week three of my surgery. Finally, my doctor called in Lunesta. I was so excited last night at the thought that I was going to be able to sleep. At about 8:45 I took my Lunesta and half of a Klonopin and curled up in a cool bed waiting for sleep. At 11:30, I finally gave in and took a Percocet hoping it would bring on the much awaited sleep. At 12:30, I finally gave in and thought I'd read myself to sleep - started and finished a new novel by about 4:00 a.m. Must have gone to sleep sometime after that and woke at 9:00 this morning. I'm craving sleep with every fiber of my being! No naps, but constant fatigue!!!

I am on day 8 post-op, and I havent slept for more than 2 hours in a strech since I came home. I am not in a lot of pain, but even if I take a percocet I don't go to sleep.

Sleep!!!!

I fall asleep at night but wake up in the middle of the night and then can't fall back asleep! The last 2 nights I got up at 3 am to read a book and crochet! I have some mild sleeping pills but don't want to take them and I have some herbal chammomile tea but if I drink it before bed,I'll have to get up more often to use the washroom in the middle of the night!

I don't know if this is from the surgery or if I've been experiencing this as a symptom of approaching menopause.

It's been six days since my surgery and I haven't had much sleep at nite either. I spend most of my night tossing and turning I can not seem to find a comfortable spot. I am hopeing that after they take my staples out I may be able to sleep any suggestion?

Sleep!!!!

I think insomnia is a common result of surgery. I did not sleep well until I returned to work and my normal day to day activities. Hang in there ladies...it will get better with time.

I am 5 1/2 mo. post op, and once I go to bed, I sleep through the night. I still wake up early, but feel rested when I do wake up.

Life is good!

Sleep!!!!

I get mabe 3 good hours of sleep at night. After the children go to school and daycare I get a hour or 2 before it's time to pick them up. I don't drink tea/coffee/cokes anymore. I'm starting to feel like I gave them up for no reason. Other than it's just a good thing to do anyways.
