Brusing in Vulva Area

I had a TAH this past Wednesday and came home yesterday.

I had noticed that my vulva/mons area is swollen and had some itchy bumps. In taking a look with a mirror, I was shocked to see that the area is completely black from brusing.

Is this typical? Its kind of freaky!

xoxo to you all.

Brusing in Vulva Area

Hi,

I found that it was swollen and sore in that area for some time. I don't think it is typical, but not uncommon as this surgery is hard on the body inside and out.

I hope it gets better for you. It helps to rest and stay off your feet to reduce pressure in the area down there.

Brusing in Vulva Area

Well, I never actually looked (didn't have the nerve) but I wouldn't have been surprised if I had been bruised. I was pretty sore.

Hope things get better soon for you. Take care.

Brusing in Vulva Area

Hi, I had a TVH 4 weeks ago (I had complications with internal bleeding and ended up having abdominal surgery to stop the bleeding) BUT... I was bruised from my belly button down between my legs to my butt. It was swollen and looked aweful!! I also had some bumps in the area that is between my vagina and anus that were caused by stitches. They were/are quite bothersome. After a couple of weeks the bruising was better and now is totally gone!! It will get better!! Good luck!!
